If there is one event on the yachting calendar which heralds in a new Mediterranean charter season, it has to be the MYBA Genoa Show. This industry-only show, in the pretty setting of Genoa’s Marina Molo Vecchio (Old Port), is the largest European showcase of luxury yachts on the charter market.
The 2014 edition will run from Monday April 28th to Friday May 2nd and provides Charter Brokers from all over the world with a chance to discover, up close, a range of yachts on exhibition. Each and every yacht in this impressive selection is available to be chartered for summer. The MYBA Genoa Show is now considered the most importantEuropean charter event of the year.
This year the MySea Charter Team is looking forward to visiting over 40 yachts ranging from 20 to 80+ metres. The show is our opportunity to discover the unique selling points of each yacht, from those which are family friendly to those with the latest toys or offering cutting edge design, a unique touring itinerary or state of the art entertainment system.
An array of events and seminars are organised during the show. Whilst the sound of lunches on the aft decks or evening yacht hops may sound like more pleasure thanbusiness, these interactions provide the brokers with an insight into the specialties of the chef and the cohesion of the crew. This is all very important information when it comes to recommending you the perfect charter yacht.
This was only enhanced last year, with the introduction of the Chef’s Competition which offers each yacht’s chef an opportunity to demonstrate their numerous talents. Thetheme for this second year is International Brunch and we’re looking forward to seeing(and tasting) their entries!
Now in its 26th year, the MYBA Genoa Show has expanded somewhat from the early days in Sanremo when it was known as the International Yacht Charter Meeting. MYBAbecame responsible for its running in 2001 and soon changed the both the name and the location to Genoa, one of Italy’s most significant port cities.
