YACHT CHARTER THE SEYCHELLES: SAMPLE ITINERARY
In the middle of the Indian Ocean, one hundred and fifteen small islands form the Seychelles. This unique archipelago can be a great alternative to the Caribbean for a winter charter and certainly is up to it. Start your cruise on the main island of Mahé where you can stroll around and have lunch in the capital Victoria before setting sail to Sainte Anne Island. In the afternoon, explore the spectacular Marine National Park where green turtles and dolphins are often found. In the evening, enjoy an exquisite dinner in one of the restaurants of luxurious Sainte Anne Resort & Spa hotel.
Leave to the islands of Cousin and Cousine, two private nature reserves home to bird species typical to the Seychelles such as the magpie robin or the brush warbler. You will also be able to observe a vibrant fauna and marine life around the islands. Take an afternoon to explore the great diving sites or go for some snorkelling in the crystalline waters for a more relaxed swim.
Cruise to Praslin, the second largest island of the archipelago, where you can hike in the astounding Vallée de Mai. This forest, part of the UNESCO World Heritage, has been preserved in almost its original state. There you can find the legendary and one of a kind Coco de Mer, the biggest seed in the world. The granitic island also offers spectacular beaches such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, both appearing on the list of world’s most beautiful beaches for several consecutive years.
Anchor off in Baie Sainte Anne in the south of Praslin to enjoy a restful day on board your yacht. Have a light and fresh lunch cooked by your own chef and take the afternoon to relax on the luxurious sunbeds with a good book or to have fun with your water toys. In the evening, head ashore to Château de Feuilles for a gastronomic dinner by the glassy sea.
In the morning, go to the island of Curieuse. It is a reserve for the Seychelles giant turtles where you will be able to see hundreds of them around the laying site. A tour of the island may enable you to see the endemic black parrot of the Seychelles. For those looking for breathtaking marine life and corals, the reserve extends to Saint Pierre reef
Return to Praslin for the last night of your Seychelles charter. Enjoy a fine dinner in a sophisticated atmosphere at the Seahorse restaurant of Lémuria Resort before your flight back home in the morning.
